I still think Conan has more attitude. Ha!
On a far sadder and goonless note, three people on the team at work are dealing with the death of a cat this week. (I thought only celebrity deaths came in threes?) My heart really goes out to each of them. I know how much it hurts. Read the tribute one editor wrote about her cat. My mascara is smeared.
Saw Order of the Phoenix at the end of vacation. Having read the last chapter and epilogue of the final book beforehand, the movie, for me, played like an interstitial in its plotting, certainly not length, making me wonder why the adult book fans even care to see the movies. Especially since the movies don't stay true to the books.
Oh, I'll spare the spoilers, but I absolutely adored the series ending. The end and the beginning of Sorcerer’s Stone are the only parts of the series I've read, but I so love what Potter has done for kids and reading. And book-shy adults, for that matter.
With lollapalooza meaning extraordinarily impressive, Loserpalooza is a perfect title: Rob, Bucky and Satchel are the most impressive losers ever drawn.
248pagespalooza. Woo!
This is Darby Conley, who pens Get Fuzzy. I bet his legs are less scrawny than Rob's.
I'm about four weeks behind again. These guys are the reason I'm a paying member of comics.com - to access the archives. Ever fall behind reading a daily strip? Sigh.

You said it, Bucky.
I created an AIM Page for Conan today. Oddly, this has been on my to-do list for a while.
I haven't mentioned Get Fuzzy in a while. The daily comic has been a riot the past two weeks as Bucky Katt dealt with a cigar-chomping neighborhood ferret.
The clips below are from today's strip which raised a fun question: What do you call yourself inside the space of your own head? How about your family, friends and coworkers?
I'm pretty normal about it (I or me) but do occasionally think "Suzie, you could do suchandsuch." I don't think I ever think of myself by my given first name, only my middle.
I do have a lot of nicknames for people in my head - those I know and those I don't (e.g. I always think of George W. as "Bushy").
Lest I forget to mention at some point, one of the reasons I love Bucky Katt as much as I do is that his Doppelganger is living here in my house -- Conan is Bucky. He does a bossy number on every dog he meets, is always prancing around the house causing trouble, and like Bucky, has a favorite off-limits treat -- electrical wires. Conan never met a wire he didn't love to chew. Sigh.
Can't you just see the attitude on his face? He was still pissed at me for being out of town for a few days when I took this photo.

My addiction to Get Fuzzy is clear now -- I just spent an hour reading through all of the strips I missed while I was on vacation. So cute, funny and true.
Love this line from 7/9's Sunday strip:

I'm absolutely hooked on this comic strip -- it's about a single geeky Canadian, his sensitive dog and his crazy cat.
It's serialized monday-saturday. I have it set as my 1 free daily comics.com delivery.
