Chronic change
Ever since I started these "moving to Denver" shenanigans, I’ve been a lousy blogger. It’s not that I don’t think about it, I just keep missing the moment.
Basically, the world took a backseat this summer to my life changes; I mostly missed the Olympics, the political conventions, and even vacation. I didn’t make it to Bar Harbor this year.
I left my job after more than a decade. I’m with a new company. I am selling my home, and moving across the country. I’m buying a new house. I’m leaving friends and family behind.
It’s been a lot of ME lately, and quite frankly, I’m pretty sick of me. I’m glad to be in the new job – and having a great time – but I’m ready to be settled into the new house NOW. I want to get back to the semblance of a normal life. And I hate waiting.
(And for the record, I hate making others wait too.)

Remember how easy moving seemed when we were little? It's because our parents did it and we just rode along. Threw a box of crayons and coloring books in the backseat of the car and we were set.
Change isn't hard. Moving is.

Sorry about the keyboard, Erin! But I couldn't resist after writing about waiting... heh.

And Holly Hobby, Nancie - I didn't go anywhere without Holly. I still have her, but her head is split in two from the swimming, so it's no encased in a ziploc baggie. This may be good blog fodder.
But you're right - the moving is what sucks!! I'm enjoying the change. :-)

well, my wife says its all about me, when most of the time it ends after a conversation about how tired and unhappy she is....always my fault of course, now good luck with your move, must be a very exciting time for you, make the most of new things and remember, it should be about you, its your life.
