Idolimination

Idol gives back. Suzie gives up.

Tonight's elimination of Michael Johns perfectly illustrates why American Idol drives me crazy. Far too soon for someone as fetching and talented to be let go. (Fetching?)

The kids are voting!
Anti-Idolers are teaming to force the results.
The song choice was that bad?
Not to mention the telethon of force-fed charity.

But given the options, how could Johns be next?

I'm not watching anymore. After next week.

I keep hoping against hope that "Disney boy" (David Archuleta) leaves the show to tour with Hannah Montana. Then I can ignore them both at the same time! I don't think it is going to happen before the end of the show. He has stopped (at least slowed) his lizard impression, which is good.

I was also bummed about John leaving - not a great performance, but there were 3 that were way worse that were not in the bottom 3! (grrr)

Idol is and always will be shit. My wife and I watch but spend more time yelling at the t.v. Cynthia swore the show off last night as well.

LOL - I think Archie is a Disney boy too - but I recognize that the tweens who love AI, totally love him (and Ms. Smiley-Miley). heh

David, the most annoying part for me is that I care! Why?? I don't know. Ugh.

I've decided not to watch the elimination shows... I'll just watch (or at least DVR for later watching) the performance nights. I enjoy those.
