In the toilet. Again.

Pennsylvania toilet paperI don't plan to always take toilet pictures when I travel. But, I couldn't resist snapping this bizarre TP placement at a rest stop in PA, shortly before the NJ border on i-80. Note the little bits of paper on the floor -- evidence of prior attempts to grab a square?

So much for never saying Stretch Armstrong again.

Pumpkinhead's day job?

I hate generic financial ads. They're targeted to vulnerable people who get robbed for shoPumpkinhead lowers your bills!rt-term gains.

But I commend the lack of subtlety to this one -- if you respond to Pumpkinhead in a lime green jumpsuit, you deserve the screw job.Oh, and he danced on mouseover.

Sage social advice

"Never go to a second location with a hippie."

I loved this tidbit from Alec Baldwin's character, Jack, on 30 Rock last night. You can tweak the warning to fit a range of only-fun-at-parties people.

I need to watch this show more often.

Nightmare before Halloween

Halloween Tree

Cute little tree in my office. Sharon supplied the black, leafless tree, and I provided the candy corn lights and Burton-y ornaments.

We're all just visitors here.

My blog and I weren't on speaking terms last week.

Now I'm back to whine: I've caught the office bug and it's really annoying. I'm hoping the messy snuffling passes quickly. But, this particular plague has hit some of my colleagues hard.

Sniff. I'm doomed.

Basedow is coming!

John BasedowFitness celebrity John Basedow is coming to our area for a book signing this week. I wonder if there will be tricky dance moves or high-impact gyrations?

Sing along with me: "Fitness made simple!..."

Flight of the boots

I love this picture and wish I'd have taken more and better-quality snaps of the boots!

Boots!

This was at Saddles Restaurant in Sonoma last week.

Sofa surfing

Finally bought a new living room set - a mix of stripes and flowers in earth tones. So pretty! The set includes a sofa, two chairs and two ottomans, and the price was right thanks to Columbus Day.

It's about time I unloaded the "marriage furniture." Now I have to wait six weeks for delivery... boo.

ABCs of Heroes

I dislike subtitles, but they're generally okay in small doses to add diversity or clarity. Tonight's Heroes went well beyond that threshold. I found the ep annoying rather than engaging. Blech. Unfortunately, I think the subtitles aren't entirely to blame - the story arcs were jaded, too.

Chuck on a plane

I caught the premiere of Chuck half-asleep replaying on the Sci-Fi channel last week. I liked it, despite the ludicrous premise. Saw the same ep again on the flight out to San Francisco and warmed to it even more. I dig Chuck.

As for other fall premieres ... I still haven't seen Reaper or Cane, or any others for that matter, ha! But tonight I watched Supernatural - love it! - and the "Jerry" episode of 30 Rock, which was hilarious.

My silence was Golden

I neglected to post a sayonara message this week - oops! I was out West with two members of the team attending a community summit in Sonoma, hosted by ForumOne.

Napa Valley is so beautiful! While I’ve visited Southern California many times on personal and business trips over the years, this was my first trip to the San Francisco area as an adult. I look forward to a pleasure trip to tour the vineyards, see the Redwoods and to explore San Francisco.

The weather was great for photos and we even got to watch the Blue Angels practice after the conference. Fun!

$32,333,446-ish

Google's CEO stuffed his piggy bank by selling ~52K shares of stock last week. Nice.
