My obsession with the Apple/PC campaign may be entirely beyond my control. In a creepy marketing move, advertisers are beginning to beam messages into our ears.
 
Measuring marketing effectiveness
Billboards - potential views, triggered responses
Magazines - circulation, media buzz
Television - viewers, demographics 
Internet - impressions, clicks
Audio spotlights - shrinks visited, earplug sales
 
P. S.  have you seen the John "peripheral" Hodgman ad? Crisp!
